In the morning start visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom: the South Gate, the Bayon with its 54 towers of enigmatic smiling faces of the compassionate Boddhisattva, the nearby temple-mountain of Baphuon, the Royal Enclosure with the Phimeanakas temple, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.

In the afternoon, visit the most famous and magnificent Angkor Wat Temple (early-mid 12th century) dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. This huge temple-mountain, built by King Suryavarman II is considered as the masterpiece of Khmer architecture and art. Return to the hotel after sunset.
B - Ta Prohm - Big Circuit
After breakfast, explore the temples of the Small Circuit. The most famous among these is Ta Prohm, built in the mid 12th to early 13th centuries, unique in that it has been left largely as it was found. Sights also include Banteay Kdei, Srah Srang, Chau Say Tevoda and Thommanon.

In the afternoon explore the Grand Circuit; the monastery of Preah Khan (“Sacred Sword”), the small island temple of Neak Pean, and then Ta Som. These three temples were built by King Jayavarman VII and illustrate the pre-eminence of Mahayana Buddhism during his reign.
C - Banteay Srei – Kbal Spean (Picnic lunch)
After breakfast, drive through the country side towards the famous temple of Bantey Srey, “the Citadel of Women”. This small pink sandstone temple (late 10th century) is considered to be the crown jewel of classical Khmer art due to its very delicate carvings.

In the afternoon, walk through the forest (45 minutes) to Kbal Spean, the “River of a Thousand Lingas”. Here the symbol of the Hindu god Shiva has been continually chiselled into the rocky riverbed. It was believed that the linga fertilized the water that irrigated the rice fields underneath.
Our journey to Phnom Kulen is for the serious adventure travellers only. The Hidden Mountain Temple the first capital of the Angkorian civilization and the setting of Jayavarman II’s coronation in 802. Once on the mountain’s plateau, we journey through thick jungle in search of lost monuments, all brick and laterite tower built between the 7th and 8th century, an ancient kiln site where shards of ancient pottery litter the forest floor. Discover Airavata, a massive stone sculpture of the king god of elephants and Sras Dumrei, four stone animals carved in the rock which are larger than life. Do not forget your swim suit for waterfall!

One of the most interesting of Angkor’s many monuments, this 12th century temple is enclosed by a moat which is nearly the size of Angkor Wat, but utterly subsumed by jungle. Many of the carvings have been plundered due to the temple’s isolation though is still an amazing site. It lies at the foot of the southern cliff of Phnom Kulen, 40 km east of Angkor, on the road to the great Preah Khan. Drive 30mn more to Svey Ler for your picnic lunch on the top of the mountain called Poeung Komnou. On the way back we will pass by Banteay Ampeul, the one temple usually reached by helicopter.

In the morning, travel by private 4x4 Land Cruiser to the archaeology site of Banteay Chhmar. This is the last of the great Angkorian temples that has not undergone significant conservation or development and as such features a completely unique experience. Originally enclosed by a 9km long wall, the temple housed one of the largest Buddhist monasteries of the Angkorian period.
The site is set within a living cultural and natural landscape, the likes of which is simply no longer visible at Angkor. On the way back visit the Tropeng Thmor bird sanctuary (1,5 hour from Banteay Chhmar). Board a boat for a visit of nearly an hour. It covers a large area and has a displays a wide variety of birds such as the Preak Toul. Good to know, it’s a very bumpy road!

After breakfast at 9am departure from the hotel to Kulen mountain by Quad/Buggy. After a ride of around 3 hours in the jungle you will reach the National park of Kulen mountain. First stop at the waterfall for lunch. Then visit the 1000 lingas carving river bed and take a rest before continuing to the hidden elephant side where you can also visit the famous cave. This is a remote hidden location on the top of the mountain that few tourists and even Locals know about.

Start off for an adventure trip by Quad/Buggy to the hidden Banteay Ampeul temple. Pass through villages and countryside that will let you see the reality of local life. Last 15mn pass through the forest before reaching the temple.

Start your bicycle tour in the jungle and discover some unvisited sites in Angkor as the door of dead people (east gate) also called the ghost road by the locals. After a short ride on the top of the enclosure wall of the ancient city of Angkor Thom, you will reach the “victory door” and find a small road which brings you to the Preah Khan south gate temple.
Visit the temple and ride again to the old French dam. A picturesque path under a toll tree forest will bring us to the Ta Nei Temple. This temple can be consider nearly unvisited because it takes over than 1 km to walk from the road and nobody takes the time to do so. From Ta Nei to Ta Phrom, a fabulous temple with giant trees eating the stones. It is about a 2 km ride.
2. Countryside and Villages circuit

We leave from the hotel at 15h30 to Roluos Group by the local road or national road, depending on conditions. Upon arrival we visit first the Bakon, Preah Ko, Lolei temples. We proceed to one hidden temple called Prei Monty, the very private setting to admire the sunset while a sipping a chilled bottle of Champagne and nibbling on our Chef’s canapés.
This half day excursion is for you to put your feet up and completely relax. Spend the afternoon nestled amongst comfortable cushions and watch life go by along the Tonle Sap lake where opportunities are plentiful to discover the life on this absolutely unique lake.
You will board a smaller boat and visit Chong Kneas village where you will experience another side of the life on the lake.
As the sun starts to set, kick back with soft jazz playing in the background, and watch the red and orange hues dance across the water ripples, featuring a dreamlike horizon.

Experience the unique cultural experience of a true Buddhist monk blessing. Listen to your future as foreseen by the monk, after which you will be shown a small changing room to put on Sarong/Kroma, which is the suitable attire. The monk will perform a cleansing ceremony of around 15 minutes by pouring bowlfuls of water over you, after which you will feel remarkably calm and cleansed.
